Are you regulated?
Yes, all Financial Service Providers (FSP’s) are regulated by the FSCA within South Africa. As Certified Financial Planners ® we are also regulated by the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa (FPI) – click here to read more about the FPI and what its membership entails.
Holistic financial planning is the ongoing process where you work with a professional to develop a financial plan that provides clarity on all aspects of your financial position.
While we can offer advice on specific aspects, such as your existing investment portfolio for example, we prefer to take a step back and look at all aspects of your plan to make sure we optimise your financial position to give you the best chance of that best life you are working towards.
You’ve heard the saying... “If you don’t know where you’re going, how will you know when you get there?” Meeting with your financial planner helps identify not only what is achievable given your resources, but sometimes what is being overlooked. Putting a formal plan in place helps balance enjoying life now while still planning for retirement.

Optima Wealth is a fee based financial planning business. We do not charge any initial fees for the work we do and only charge an on-going annual advice fee which is always fully disclosed.
Thanks to modern technology, we are flexible and can meet either in person (at our offices or anywhere that suits you) or via video call.
We are open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. We are flexible, so if you can only meet in the early mornings or after work, that’s no problem for us.

We get this question a lot, and the answer is…it depends. It depends on when you want to retire, how much income you need to live out your lifestyle and many other questions that will affect your number. Holistic financial planning helps you identify your number and what you can control to achieve your desired retirement.
We plan to see you at least once a year, but our doors are always open to meet because we know that life happens, and your plan needs to change with you and your circumstances. We encourage you to make an appointment with us in anticipation of any life-changing events (getting married, inheriting money, growing the family, etc) or if you simply want to run something past us. We also appreciate that all clients are different, with different needs, and how often we need to meet with you will be established and honoured once we get to know and understand you.
